I know I'll want these pictures in the middle of winter to remind me how much I love our yard. It's pretty high- maintenance (ohhhh, do I ever weed and trim), but I thoroughly enjoy my time spent taking care of it. I wish I'd gotten photos when the magnolia tree and irises were in bloom. The lilies and daisies will come on soon and it will look even more amazing. I am incredulous that the shrubs are looking shaggy already....I just trimmed them! The one in front of the window needs to be cut down to about half that size. Sigh.
We have some big projects to finish this summer. We need to re-paint the trim work (see how faded the corner pillars are?) and re- build and paint the shutters, along with replacing the front door and sidelights. Pair that with our mini-kitchen makeover (more on that later), and we've about spent our house budget this year.
