Five

Impossible to believe, but true . . . our little Thomas is five.
He always keeps us entertained with his goofball sense of humor. No kidding though, he is the smartest, funniest, silliest, teasingest, sweetest little five year old boy on the planet. We wouldn't trade him for anything. And this kid loves him some Angry Birds.
So I planned an "Angry Birds" party for all the five-year old boys in the neighborhood (and T's siblings were invited too, of course). We made Angry Bird masks,
We played "Bird, Bird, Pig" (Some of you may refer to it as "Duck, Duck, Goose)." The messy stereo cabinet is open because Michael downloaded the music from the game to play at the party. Listening to that same 30 second riff over and over for an hour and a half didn't get annoying at all (wink). The boys liked it anyway. (Thanks Grandma, for taking twin duty!)
We used a slingshot to launch our bird (a playground ball I drew on with a Sharpie) . . . .
at the pigs.
The kiddos re-built and knocked down this tower more times than I can count. (Later that night the grown-ups may or may not have played with it for quite a while too.)
We ate bird cake.
And he made wishes . . . probably for more iPad games (though I certainly hope not).
Happy birthday to our Tommy, our Tito, Little T, T-Dub, Teaser, Tommy-Bear, our T-Monster. Words can't begin to express how thankful we are that he is ours!

I think he enjoyed his day, even though he didn't have many surprises since he found (and played with) all his gifts hiding in my closet weeks before they were wrapped.
I consoled myself with the fact that at least he didn't know what the rest of the family was getting him . . . until he and his cousin discovered more of his presents in the closet at Grandma's house a few days later!

Note to self: Wrap Thomas' Christmas presents as soon as I buy them.
