Couldn't have done this nutso move without them. Little did Justin know, soon after helping us to pack and unpack this beast, he'd be helping to move everything out of the flooded basement of Michael and Stuart's office . . .
Early morning farewell to the blonde neighbors
I'm pretty sure this is how everyone else in the neighborhood will remember us though . . .
Phoebe handed me a mix CD entitled "So Long, Farewell" as I climbed into the Odyssey. The first song was "Please Girl, Don't Go" by NKOTB, and I pretty much cried all the way out of the valley. We were happy to finally be on our way, but heartbroken we couldn't take everyone with us.

The Epic Move - Part 3
The kiddos played with all their friends . . . one more time.
Phoebe and Raina planned and executed a magnificent evening ice cream social/farewell party for my fam and Nancy's fam since our families both moved to Utah on the same day.
It was a little unreal seeing the entire contents of our home in the parking lot. We barely squeezed it all in to a 26 foot truck . . . .
Mostly thanks to Michael and Justin's meticulous game of tetris inside the cargo hold. These two always amaze me at what they can pack into a small space.
We slept on the floor that night, and Justin and Lanie met us bright and early the next morning to caravan down to the motherland. It made our hard goodbye a little easier to have them visit Utah for a couple of weeks before they had to journey back to Portland.
