A friend and I took our little guys and my niece to the zoo to see the new baby elephant (Seth was in school, I guess we'll get to take him later. Though the fact that Seth wasn't with us meant that we didn't have to discuss the size of elephant poo for the rest of the day, so that was kind of a bonus).
T calls him the "Bay-bay Aye-fant." T wants to be sure that you all know that a bay-bay aye-fant does not say
ROAR. Because if you ask him what an elephant says, his response is "Not
ROAR." Does that clear things up for everyone? Good.
Heh-woh bay-bay aye-fant . . . you in dere?

I know that the picture is less than superior in quality, but they wouldn't let me use a flash in the viewing area. Just know that he is veeeeery cute. His name is Sam, and he currently tops 300 pounds.

The red stickers on their shirts are promoting fund raising for a bigger elephant habitat at the zoo. What our stickers should say is "I waited 40 minutes in line to see Sam and it was worth it!"

Sam is way cuter than Dumbo! And your kids are super adorable. I can just hear T talking to the baby elephant. I think there's some secret communication going on between kids and animals.
Cute, cute elephant. glad you had fun.
The LG has been raving about the elephant since we went. In fact, we went again on Fri with his Grandma, and he still got so excited. He also couldn't stop talking about T. See you soon.
I am dying to see that bay bay aye fant! The picture is cute. And, I think it would make me feel better to be around something that weighs more than me, even if it is just barely. Your pictures are awesome. I am loving that new camera!
Is there really still a 40 min wait for the baby elephant? We're dying to go but I keep putting it off for that reason. Looks cute though! And it's good to know that they don't roar! Classic.
Great pictures! I think I love the zoo almost as much as my kids!
We're going to see the bay bay effant on Saturday! Yeah!
